The other day on my snapchat I was talking about the pros and cons of becoming more visible on social media.
When I stopped over thinking everything and started doing all the things I put a question mark on, I realised that the only thing stopping me was me. Sometimes I say to myself, “It’s all in your head, don’t spoil it by overthinking.” Have you ever felt that way?
My biggest con was that some people can be quite negative on social media (e.g. YouTube comments). It truly takes a certain level of self-esteem to rise above the negativity.
In terms of getting to know me, I feel the one thing that is important to me is that I come across as a genuine person. I’m a feminist but I don’t have all the answers. I like fashion but I’ll get it wrong sometimes. I never want my photos or blog to appear like I dress like this every day or I live a certain lifestyle. So if you ever see me or hear of me getting in my 04 VW (now a 57 Vauxhall Tigra) in ripped skinnies and a jersey top looking a little bit tired – don’t be surprised
Taking the good with the bad is what life is about. If everything is dipped in gold it would never grow. I hope if I do ever experience negativity I handle it gracefully.
With everything, I know the most important thing is that my focus is on the love. If I focus on the love then everything else will fade into the background where it belongs.
